May Wrap-Up!

Five months down! *happy dance*

Who would have thought that this small town girl living in a crazy world, who does nothing but eat, sleep, read books, watch TV, listen to music, and study occasionally would be able to keep up a blog for five months? Not me. But thank God I have managed.

Let's go straight to the point, shall we? Blog updates!

FIRST:
The books I have read in May.

Given a month of summer vacation, you would probably think I spent every waking hour reading books. I actually planned that before vacation began. But nothing went according to plan. Somehow, I only manage to read a few. I get distracted by a lot of things these days.

I have read 7 books this May - 6 medium-length to long books, and 1 short story. Some reviews are posted on the blog and some on Goodreads. The cover images link up to where I posted my thoughts (except for Losing It, I haven't written anything about that.)

April Wrap-Up!

Four months! :)

I have been "seriously" blogging for four months now, and I think I deserve a little pat on the shoulder for surviving this long. Hahahaha... But honestly, I'm sooooo happy I have lasted four months in the blog world, and I hope I stay longer.

There had been unexpected change of plans this April... But I tried to update whenever I can. So, here it goes...

FIRST:
The books I have read in April.

It has been a slow April for me. I only read four books and one short story. Should I mention that I was kind of busy?

March Wrap-Up!

Whew! It has been a long and exhausting March. Most days were stressful and tiring due to the countless exams, projects, and requirements to be submitted in school.  Plus, I went on a minor eye surgery just a few days ago. That's why I haven't been able to post a lot this month. But on the bright side, my eyes are almost okay now and school is over!!! That means more reading and more blogging. Yay!

There have been quite a few things I was dying to blog about this month, but I haven't really gotten into typing or posting it. So, here it goes...

FIRST:
The books I have read in March.

Considering the piles of work to be done, I honestly don't know why I was able to read 9 books this month. Studying for exams and doing our thesis took up most of my time, and I really wonder how I managed to squeeze those 9 books in my busy schedule. I'm not complaining though. I'm quite happy with that number, actually. But I haven't blabbered  much about the books I recently read.

SECOND:
The books I have purchased.

March is the month of release of two of my most anticipated books of 2013: REQUIEM and CLOCKWORK PRINCESS. I already went to our local bookstore last February to reserve my copy of these two books. I just need to wait for them to contact me when the books arrive. But sadly, I receive no text, no call and no email from them. Meaning, the books haven't arrived yet. Yeah! Pityful!

What did I do? Spend the saved money on pre-loved books instead.

Cover Reveals!

FOURTH:
Book swags and goodies!

That's all for now!

January Wrap Up!

One month down, eleven more to go!
Bye January! Hello February!

Let's take a look back to the things I have been up to on the first month of 2013.

FIRST:
My blog is now up and definitely running!!!

SECOND:
These are the books I have read in January. One of them actually is just a short story, but Goodreads still classifies it like a full-length book, so it is there. My goal this year: 75 or more books. so, 66 more books to read. :)

Although there were quite a few of books that received four stars in January (the highest I have given for the month), my best read for January, would have to be Uncommon Criminals by Ally Carter. Most of the elements that I love in a story was present in the book. My disappointing read for January would have to be Annabel by Lauren Oliver. Why? Because I expected a lot from the novella and most of them were not met.

THIRD:
The books I have purchased!!! I bought five books in January, three of which are brand new (they are costly) and the other two were pre-loved books (bought them for less than half their original prices) Hopefully, I'll be able to buy/receive more books this year than last year.

I have already read An Abundance of Katherines by John Green last year. I bought it for the benefit of mys sister. :) The only book I have bought this January and read at the same month was Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan. All the rest, I will get to them in a while (maybe a long while).

That's it! My first Wrap Up post! :)
(I'll try posting next Wrap Ups on the last day of the month.)
