Now, I decided to just put it all out there in one blog post. So, for the past weeks (or months), these are the book cover reveal, bookish news and updates that I have come across on social media sites.

The second installment in our epic Starbound trilogy introduces
a new pair of star-crossed lovers on two sides of a bloody war.
Jubilee Chase and Flynn Cormac should never have met.

Rebellion is in Flynn's blood. Terraforming corporations make their fortune by recruiting colonists to make the inhospitable planets livable, with the promise of a better life for their children. But they never fulfilled their promise on Avon, and decades later, Flynn is leading the rebellion.

Desperate for any advantage in a bloody and unrelentingly war, Flynn does the only thing that makes sense when he and Lee cross paths: he returns to base with her as prisoner. But as his fellow rebels prepare to execute this tough-talking girl with nerves of steel, Flynn makes another choice that will change him forever. He and Lee escape the rebel base together, caught between two sides of a senseless war.

COVER CRAZY: Ugly Love

Colleen Hoover
Expected Publication: Aug. 5, 2014
Publisher: Atria Books

Goodreads Summary:
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn't love at first sight. They wouldn't even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn't want love; she doesn't have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

Margot Mejia – academically ranked number two in her class, Margot is a focused overachiever bound for the Ivy League.

Kitty Li – captain of the California state and national champion varsity girls' volleyball team, she's been recruited by a dozen colleges and has dreams of winning an Olympic gold medal.

They are members of Don't Get Mad, a society specializing in seeking revenge for fellow students who have been silently victimized by their peers. Each girl has her own reason for joining the group, her own set of demons to assuage by evening the score for someone else. And though school administration is desperate to find out who is behind the DGM "events", the girls have managed to keep their secret well hidden.

That is until one of their targets – a douchebag senior who took advantage of a drunk underclassman during a house party, videotaped it on his phone, and posted it on YouTube – turns up dead, and DGM is implicated in the murder.

COVER CRAZY: The One (The Selection #3)

35 GIRLS. 1 CROWN. THE COMPETITION OF A LIFETIME.
35 GIRLS CAME TO THE PALACE. ONLY 6 REMAIN.
ONLY 1 GIRL CAN WIN THE CROWN.

Who wouldn't be captivated by those striking catch phrases? I'm sure I would. But whenever I hear The Selection or Kiera Cass, what comes to my mind immediately are those gorgeous book covers of her The Selection Trilogy. If you haven't seen it yet, you should look it up and prepared to be blown away. And just recently, Kiera Cass has revealed the cover of the third and final book of the trilogy, THE ONE.

Of course, that got me excited. I'm really raising my expectations over the bar for this cover, and thankfully, it did not disappoint me. It is GORGEOUS, BEAUTIFUL and every other adjective you can describe for something as stunning as this one. I didn't expect it to be white, but holy moly! This white cover is magnificent! (If you haven't noticed, the adjective I'm using were just googled because I can't even begin hoe to describe how good this cover looks like.)

I haven't found any blurbs yet for the third book's plot so that's why it's not here. And to be honest, Ihave only read the first book in the series. I still don't have a copy of The Elite (the second book) because it's not my priority right now. Maybe next time.
  DROOOOOL!!!! Pretty Dresssssss!

COVER CRAZY: Several Crazy YA

If you haven't noticed, I have been gone for quite some time, and I haven't really had the chance (and resources) of scouring the world wide web for book updates like cover reveals, new releases etc... So now, I'll try to catch up with what's happening and finally be able to at least get a little in line with every one out there.

Now, to start things off, I just want to say something... This blog post is entirely dedicated to those upcoming books I have been on my TBR list that unfortunately, I haven't been able to check up on for the past few months. And just by random chance, when I looked into my goodreads account, I saw that they have already covers. How amazingly bitter-sweet was that.

This cover reveal may be a few weeks or a few months late, but I don't care. I have the right to fangirl, too! :)

COVER CRAZY: Kinslayer (The Lotus War #2)

One of the books I have read last year that had a slightly different taste from the other books I have read was Stormdancer by Jay Kristoff. Though I admit that it took me a while to finish the book, I'm still glad to say that I liked it. It is refreshing -- something good and action-packed without vampires, werewolves or witches; something not set in America or in Europe; something that touches another culture and their beliefs. It was a very worthwhile read.

Now, what was really the first thing that made me pick up the book?
THE COVER! I love the US cover of Stormadancer. It is so awesome, so cool, so kick ass, so good  to look at. I swear, I just love that cover. I even set is as my mobile phone and desktop wallpaper for a few weeks. The UK cover was not that eye-catching, though.

You be the judge... Which is better? The US cover (left) or the UK cover (right)?
(Click the images to read the synopsis)

But now on to some more exciting news... KINSLAYER's cover, the second book from the series (not sure if this is a series or a trilogy or what), has now been revealed! And I love it! It looks like it came straight out of Japan, like some sort of Manga. Yukiko still looks as cool as ever with her tattoos while holding her katana (Is that correct? Sorry, I'm not sure).

COVER CRAZY: Allegiant (Divergent #3)

Is Veronica Roth the best at revealing things or what? When she announced the title of Divergent's 3rd book, she (or maybe not her, maybe her publisher or whoever made her do it) made a video. Now, just to reveal the cover of Allegiant, she gets to be interviewed by Ryan Seacrest on Today. Wow! A cover reveal on television. Yeah, Veronica Roth is that awesome. But let's get to the best part, shall we? ALLEGIANT's cover!!
So, the third book is really orange. Is it really that orange? Or is this because of the quality of the image? It's a bit too bright when compared to the first two books, and that logo is not familiar. I can't wait to find out what this is all about. There's a few more months to go before Allegiant's release, so patience.

If you have missed Veronica's interview, here is the video:

COVER CRAZY: Isla and the Happily Ever After + New Covers for Anna and Lola

Presenting... the cover of Stephanie Perkins' new contemporary novel.
ISLA AND THE  HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Goodreads:
Falling in love in the world’s most romantic city is easy for hopeless dreamer Isla and introspective artist Josh. But as they begin their senior year at the School of America in Paris, Isla and Josh are quickly forced to deal with the heartbreaking reality that happily-ever-afters aren’t always forever. Their romantic journey is skillfully intertwined with those of beloved couples Anna and Étienne and Lola and Cricket, whose paths are destined to collide in a sweeping finale certain to please fans old and new.

Another fun-filled romance mixed with touches of drama and heartbreak. Plus, cross-overs!!! :)

But wait! It's not over yet. Apparently, Anna and Lola gets a make-over along with the reveal of Isla. Here are the before and after covers.

So, what are your thoughts? Comments? Are the new covers better or worse?

Personally, I like the new covers a tad better than the old ones. It looks simpler, yet it screams sophistication. It looks more mature while holding on to that YA element. I can't explain it clearly, but the new covers have my vote. :)

COVER CRAZY: Time After Time (Time Between Us #2) + Giveaway

Was it just a coincidence or was it fate? That the moment I logged in on twitter, I immediately saw that  Time After Time's cover will be revealed in 30 minutes. This is the second book by Tamara Ireland Stone following the unusual "long distance" relationship of Bennett and Anna.

I have read Time Between Us (the first book) last year, and I did not know it came with a second book. This book has been one of my great reads of 2012. I loved it and I was satisfied with the ending. As much as I loved the ending of the first book, I still want to read more about Bennett and Anna. So, thank you Tamara for another story! :)

Here comes the second book...
Goodreads:
Calling Anna and Bennett’s romance long distance is an understatement: she’s from 1995 Chicago and he’s a time traveler from 2012 San Francisco. The two of them never should have met, but they did. They fell in love, even though they knew they shouldn't. And they found a way to stay together, against all odds.
It’s not a perfect arrangement, though, with Bennett unable to stay in the past for more than brief visits, skipping out on big chunks of his present in order to be with Anna in hers. They each are confident that they’ll find a way to make things work...until Bennett witnesses a single event he never should have seen (and certainly never expected to). Will the decisions he makes from that point on cement a future he doesn't want?
Told from Bennett’s point of view, Time After Time will satisfy readers looking for a fresh, exciting, and beautifully-written love story, both those who are eager to find out what’s next for Time Between Us's Anna and Bennett and those discovering their story for the first time.

Now, the cover...

Both covers are very pretty. Simple yet pleasing to the eyes. At first glance, I think Time After Time will immediately catch someone's attention maybe because of the color. But to be honest, I prefer the subtle shades in Time Between Us. It just looks more elegant with its sky blue shades and horizon(?) landscape. Then, we have Time After Time. What I like with this one is that we can now see Bennett. He is bigger, closer, and clearer than the first book, which is very fitting with the plot. So, which is better? I think the crown goes to Time Between Us.

What do you think? :)

*****

Thank you to Young Adult Book Central (YABC) for the cover reveal.

COVER CRAZY: The Dream Thieves + Across A Star-Swept Sea

Just before Valentine's Day comes, two authors have given us a wonderful gift - cover reveal!!!

Earlier this day, Maggie Stiefvater, author of the Shiver trilogy, has unveiled the book cover of The Dream Thieves, sequel to her paranormal YA novel The Raven Boys. Then minutes before midnight, Diana Peterfreund also revealed the cover for the companion book of For Darkness Shows the Star, entitled Across A Star-Swept Sea. I really liked Maggie's The Raven Boys, and I fell in love with Diana's dystopian retelling of Jane Austen's Persuasion through For Darkness Shows the Stars. One of my best reads of 2012.  So I was extremely elated when I saw that the sequel and the companion already had covers. eeeek!!!

To find out more about Across A Star-Swept Sea, the team from EpicReads has interviewed Diana Peterfreund. Click HERE.

So far, The Dream Thieves does not have it's blurb yet and I haven't scoured any vital information except that it will be out on September 17, 2013

Book 1 (Left)          Book 2 (Right)

If I were to choose which book between the pair of books has the better cover, I would choose... THE RAVEN BOYS and FOR DARKNESS SHOWS THE STARS.

For The Raven Boys, I like how the first book only had one element on the cover. I still liked the cover for the second book. It is very suited for what might happen and the revelations in the second book. But I favor the "Raven without the Boy" cover better.

Okay! I'll admit it. I am in love with everything in For Darkness Shows the Stars. I think the first book's cover looks more magical (maybe because of the stars) than the second. The cover for the first book is just "breathless" beautiful, even though it is somewhat misleading relative to the story. The second book's cover is "sigh" beautiful. But I think this cover will be more fitting with the story.

So, what do you think? Comments?
