Pick a book in your favorite genre that you’d recommend to a reluctant reader.

I don't have a particular genre that I can say is my favorite, but I love Dystopian, Contemporary and Fantasy (mostly paranormal) books.

For Dystopian books, I think everybody has already heard of The Hunger Games. Although I highly recommend that trilogy, that is not what I'm going to feature. My pick would be the LEGEND trilogy by Marie Lu.

For even more reluctant readers, I'll probably recommend something a little bit more familiar. CINDER by Marissa Meyer - a retelling of one of the classic fairy tales we all know, Cinderella.
