April has been a busy month for me and my personal life. That is why I haven't blogged as much as I used to like the past two months. I also haven't bought any book this month. But thankfully, Harper Collins sent me three ARCs that I can feature in this month's Stacking the Shelves post. Thank you, HC Int'l!

This March, I feel like I have purchased quite a number of books, even though I know it's not a lot compared to some people's monthly book hauls. It has been a long time since I bought more than two books in one month. The cause of this impulsive book buying is the extremely low price of some great hardback titles in the bookstore. Honestly, I only wanted to get Lady Midnight because that was the only book I really saved up for. But the other books were so tempting, and when I looked at the prices, I know I just had to grab them and go (after paying, of course).

Now, my March haul...

Hello beautiful people of the blogoverse! This is my first Stacking the Shelves post this year. To be honest, I have not purchased any books since the year began because I have no money to spend on impulsive book shopping extravaganza. I am saving the little cash I have with me for something big. Hopefully, I'll be able to share that soon.

So, let's get on with it. Here is my February book haul...

Hello!

Welcome to my Stacking the Shelves post, the Extended Edition! Why "extended", you ask? Well, because I realized that it has been 364 days since I last shared my weekly/monthly book haul. I missed a lot of times to share the new books I bought and received. So now, I am sharing all the books I got from November 2014 to March 2015 (I did not get anything this April, Sad.).

Here they are...

Since I only buy zero to one book per week, I have decided to do my "Stacking the Shelves" post once a month only - every last Saturday of each month. My January post was supposed to be last Saturday, January 25, but my monthly haul was not complete at that time. I was still expecting a few books, so I decided to wait until today.

I bought two pre-loved books from our school's College Student Council. I think it was a fund-raising event to help children this coming Christmas (I'm not sure), with all the proceeds of the sale going to charity projects. So YAY to cheap books and YAY to helping other people! :) Here they are:

Starters by Lissa Price
Just One Day by Gayle Forman

This book feels a little bit like cheating because I  actually bought this one as a gift for my younger sister. And I think I have no right to actually include this on the post. But we do share a lot of things, including our little bookshelf, so that counts as "adding books to your shelf" right? And I know she loves me too much to even make a fuss about this.

Anyway, the last book I bought this week is
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell.

 and...
(Belated) HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DEAR SISTER!!!

I have not purchased anything for the past weeks, and this week is no different. The only new book I got this week is from Netgalley.

Another Little Piece of My Heart
by Tracey Martin
What if your devastating break-up became this summer’s hit single? In this rock-and-roll retelling of Jane Austen’s Persuasion, music can either bring you together or tear you apart.

Eeeeep! That line alone immediately made me click the "want to read" button. So, a big THANK YOU to Netgalley for accepting my request.

On my fourth Stacking the Shelves post, I will be showcasing not only the books I received or purchased for this week, but also the books I have gotten from the past months that I still haven't posted. Don't expect too much, because I haven't really been buying a lot of books the time I was temporarily away. I wanted to, but certain circumstances don't allow me. Anyway, moving on to the books...

Here are the new additions to my shelf!

It's been a slow week. I only have 2 books to add to my shelf. One is a newly-published novel, and the other has been around for quite some time.

Received/Won:

Ctrl Z by Danika Stone
I received this book for review, with the help of Abby from Bookshelf Confessions. Thanks Abby and thank you to Miss Stone for providing a copy.

Bought:

Burning Up: On Tour with the Jonas Brothers
by

This is not a novel, I know. But it's a book, and it should count. :)

You don't know how much I freaked out when I saw this at Book Sale. I have been wanting to own a copy of the Burning Up book since it came out (BIG JONAS BROTHERS FAN HERE!!!). But it's so pricey and I really can't afford it. My mother would kill me if I spend more than a month's allowance just to buy a book about the Jonas Brothers. But after years of waiting, I finally found a good enough coprady at an affordable price. Yay me!!! hahahahah...

Bought:

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
Requiem by Lauren Oliver

I know that these two highly anticipated books have been released last month, and I have been regularly visiting the book store for the past weeks just to check if they are already in stock. My visits always were tragic due to the unavailability of the books. Unfortunately, Clockwork Princess just arrived last Saturday (Requiem came in just a few days after its release). And because I had promised myself that I would buy these two books together... here I am, possibly the only fan to have bought the books a month after the release date. And I still haven't read them

Here are the books - still wrapped in plastic, never been flipped or opened.

Received:

A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest (ebook received for review)
What Really Happened in Peru by Cassandra Clare (ebook received from a friend)

Four books for me this week. How about you?
